I used masking tape to mask off areas for painting a window frame, It was left on too long and I am now unable to remove the adhesive.

What is the best way to remove the residue from the glass ?

Try using white vinegar to remove the residue. Soak a cloth in the vinegar, wipe over residue a couple of times leave it for a few minutes. Then use a clean section of the damp cloth and wipe again. Once all the residue has been removed, use a clean cloth and polish the glass. I have never tried this before but i’ve been told that it works
